Six months into his stint as police chief of Forks, WA, Brandon Mattson has already solved a double-homicide, stabilized his fledgling department, and helped his daughter settle into a new high school. Now the former Seattle PD detective is turning his attention to the unsolved case that’s haunted him for over a year: his brother’s murder. Brandon’s search leads him to an underground network of thieves and drug dealers ensconced deep inside the dark and isolated forests of the Olympic Mountains.
