In 1695, when he was 67, Perrault lost his position as secretary and decided to dedicate himself to his children. In 1697 he published Tales and Stories of the Past with Morals (Histoires ou Contes du Temps passé), subtitled Tales of Mother Goose (Les Contes de ma Mère l'Oye).Contents: Introduction, List of Illustrations, Cinderella or the Little Glass Slipper, The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood, Little Thumb, The Master Cat or Puss in Boots, Riquet of the Tuft, Blue Beard, The Fairy and Little Red Riding-Hood.
